Mixed Media project - Embrace Imperfection

I've been in a bit (understatement of the year) of a craft slump the last few months where I just couldn't be bothered making anything. I've been watching a ton of mixed media YouTube videos to try and spark some creativity.

Finally, last week I pulled out the paints, gesso and a whole lot of other supplies and created something!

One of the YouTubers I like to watch is Amber K Creative and it is one of her projects that mine is based on.

Here's my finished project ready to put into my junk journal. This project uses a paper napkin for the background. I've also used the following products.

*Indicates an affiliate link. Purchasing through this link earns me a small commission at no extra cost to you. 💜

Stamperia Transparent Crackle Paste.  I couldn't find the *Tim Holtz Crackle paste that Amber used but the Stamperia brand worked great. Just be sure to get the transparent, not the white.
Stamperia Colla Velo - Collage glue for delicate applications. It worked great with the delicate paper napkin but might be hard to find. The other brand of collage glue I used (Collage Pauge Instant Decoupage) tore the napkin badly, so look for something that's made for delicate applications.
*DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics - Green Gold and Cobalt Turquoise Hue
*Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Spray - Fired Brick
*Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers
*Liquitex Matte Medium
*Liquitex Gesso
The pack of butterfly themed paper napkins were purchased from a craft store called Spotlight here in Australia.
*Stampers Anonymous - Spills & Splatters unmounted stamp set. (For the Embrace imperfection title). This set is discontinued but I did manage to find it on Amazon.
*Stampers Anonymous - Ledger Script unmounted stamp set
*Tim Holtz idea-ology Tissue Wrap - Melange

And here's Amber's video. Be sure to like her video and subscribe! Check the details under her video to see which products she used.

Let me know if you have any questions. Also... I love to know what YOU do when you're having a crafting block/slump?

I'm off to a 2 day Gelli Plate workshop by Birgit Koopsen next weekend so I'm hoping that will spark some motivation!

Happy crafting!  ♥
