CRICUT: New Print then Cut registration marks
If you're struggling with Print then Cut on the desktop version, please make sure you are running the latest version of Design Space.
The latest desktop version (not the iOS app) replaced the three corner registration marks with a full rectangle that encloses your image.
This is what you should see around your image when you get to the preview screen. (The arrows are part of my image, not the registration mark.)
If you don't see that, sign out of Design Space, close the Design Space tab (and any other DS tabs you might have open) then open DS again. You should see a message telling you that DS is being updated.

Cricut Explore Air 2 - Just how fast is it?
Today I did a cutting speed comparison between the Explore Air and the Explore Air 2 and filmed it in action.
I cut the same SVG file from two browsers on my PC at the same time.

Cricut Explore Air 2
You might have seen the launch of the Cricut Explore Air 2 on HSN recently.
It sold out there and will be available at Cricut.com on October 21.
So, what's the difference between the Explore Air and the Explore Air 2? Speed and looks!
The Air 2 comes in 4 colours - Mint (green), Rose (pink), Serenity (blue), and the HSN exclusive Anna Griffin edition which is ivory and gold.
I recently received the Mint version and I've put together a short video that shows you the machine and takes you through the setup process.
The Air 2 also has "Fast Mode". You can use this mode on the vinyl to cardstock setting to cut up to twice as fast as the other Explores.
I'll be testing out the Fast Mode a little later and will report back my findings! :)

For my project I used the Antique Tray from Myrcella’s Vanity SVG Bundle.
I used Cricut Design Space to scale the size down to make the finished tray 9" x 7.5". This is very easy to do by selecting all the layers in the project and dragging the sizing arrow inwards. I used the grid lines on the Design Space canvas to eyeball the size.
The digital image is from Tiddly Inks and I coloured it using Copics.
I used the Cricut Explore Air to cut my project.

Dreaming Tree Chess King box
Just in time for Father's Day (in the USA anyway) is the new "King of the Castle" bundle from Dreaming Tree.

There are three projects in this bundle... a crown cupcake box, a cascade card and a box in the shape of a chess king.

COPIC: Kit and Clowder project
Here's my take on the March Create and Learn markers project.
If you love to colour you should check out the classes at Kit and Clowder. Alyce is an amazing teacher! You'll find classes there on Skin & Hair, Clothing and many more.
I've only recently got back into colouring. Earlier this month I attended the 2nd Australian Kit and Clowder colouring retreat and it has reignited my love for this medium!
Alyce doesn't only teach marker classes. She also teaches pencils, watercolours and Mixed Media. And she supplies the colour equivalents for different types of markers eg. Copics, Spectrum Noir and Promarkers.
The Create and Learn is a monthly project class. The project is emailed to you each month and includes the image plus backgrounds.
The digital image is "Jungle" by Yampuff. The image itself doesn't come with the background but Alyce teaches you how to draw it as part of the class. And for those not brave enough to do that (like me)... she also supplies the image merged with the background that she has drawn for you!
I framed the image using 3D frame and easel svg's from Lori Whitlock.
They were cut on my Cricut Explore using Cricut cardstock.
